قبل از اقدام به ارائه مقاله خود، ابتدا مجله مناسبی در حوزه مورد نظر خود را بیابند و سپس بر اساس قالب تعیین شده در سایت مجله انتخابی، مقاله خود را تنظیم و نسبت به ارسال آن اقدام کنند.
علم شناخت حیات که در آن ویژگی‌ها و رفتارهای موجودات، چگونگی تشکیل گونه‌ها و افراد و همچنین رابطه موجود بین موجودات با یکدیگر و با محیط زیست خودشان بررسی می‌شود را زیست‌شناسی می‌گویند. از آنجاییکه زیست‌شناسی معمولاً به تنهایی بعنوان یک رشته مورد مطالعه قرار نمی‌گیرد، لذا متشکل از تعدادی زیر رشته‌های مختلف می‌باشد که از جمله مهم‌ترین موضوعات آن پنج اصل به هم پیوسته زیر است که می‌توان آنها را اساس زیست‌شناسی مدرن نامید.
1-سلول‌ها به عنوان واحد اصلی حیات هستند. (نظریه یاخته)
2-گونه‌های جدید و صفات موروثی، محصول فرگشت هستند.
3-ژن‌ها واحد اصلی وراثت هستند.
4-ارگانیسم‌ها محیط داخلی خود را برای حفظ یک وضعیت پایدار و ثابت، حفظ می‌کنند.
5-موجودات زنده انرژی مصرف می‌کنند و آن را به صورت دیگری تبدیل می‌کنند.
دانشجویان این رشته همچون دانشجویان رشته‌های دیگر برای ادامه یا اتمام تحصیلات و همچنین تقویت رزومه خود نیاز به ارائه و چاپ مقالات خود در حوزه های مربوط به این رشته در مجلات معتبر بین‌المللی ISI دارند. لذا باید قبل از اقدام به ارائه مقاله خود، ابتدا مجله مناسبی در حوزه مورد نظر خود را بیابند و سپس بر اساس قالب تعیین شده در سایت مجله انتخابی، مقاله خود را تنظیم و نسبت به ارسال آن اقدام کنند. بدلیل تخصصی بودن بسیاری از مجلات، انتخاب مجله معتبر مناسب ISI برای افزایش شانس پذیرش و چاپ مقاله از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است. لذا در ادامه لیستی از مجلات معتبر بین‌المللی این رشته را ارائه می‌دهیم.
